In line with New Zealand’s Animal Welfare (Layer Hens) Code of Welfare 2012 for free range producers, the stocking density for outdoor ranging does not exceed 2,500 hens per hectare. Compared to Australia’s where the national standard allows up to 10,000 hens per hectare – making New Zealand the ultimate place to produce free range eggs.

All Farmer Brown eggs are stamped with a unique identity code to enable 100% traceability back to the farm it came from. This provides transparency about its provenance and authenticity for today’s conscious consumers.
