Fragrant syrup distilled from rose petals; ideal for cocktails, desserts, lemonades or gourmet use. Still known by its original name of “Zucchero Rosato”, Romanengo fresh rose petal preserve has been in existence since before we started making confectionery. Made to a recipe dating back to 1600, the product is neither a jam nor a compote, but a quite separate article of ancient pharmaceutical origins. Our roses, whose petals are separated by hand, are supplied by small growers in the Genoese hinterland. There are three quality levels: Gallica, Muscosa and Rugosa.
